Robert Bateman is the world’s most famous, influential and beloved wildlife artist and the Bateman Centre (@batemancentre) featuring his work is only a few miles from home.
I was told we couldn’t possibly afford to include any of his work in my new book Orcas Everywhere. And we couldn’t except… when I said the book was for kids I was told we could use one of his paintings, as long as we sent a few copies of the book to the Bateman Centre so young readers could learn more about orcas.
A few days ago we interviewed Robert Bateman for the Orcas Everywhere podcast (our new upcoming podcast for kids), and for Skaana.

Skaana connects you to news and experts and their discussions about orcas, oceans and the environment.
